I’ve lapsed a bit with my posting over the past week due to a busy work season and a move to a slightly new neighborhood (about a mile from where we were). Amidst all the frenzy that comes with moving I’ve been trying to make time to literally stop and smell the flowers and take in the beautiful neighborhood where we’ve landed. I’m lucky to once again find myself surrounded by some of the most beautiful homes and gardens in the city. It just so happens that one of my favorite flowers is in bloom at the moment. I couldn’t help but stop and take a few photos of these beautiful peonies as I was heading out this morning.

I think just about every girl (and plenty of guys) who came of age in the 90s will be familiar with the home pictured below. If you don’t recognize it right off the bat here’s a hint:

“Everywhere you look, everywhere you go There’s a heart (There’s a heart), a hand to hold onto…”

If you haven’t guessed, this is the San Francisco home of the Full House Tanner family and it’s currently for sale for $4,150,000. Once again that $4M+ price point is justtttt out of reach for me but it’s still fun to take a look. The home has clearly undergone some significant renovations since the show’s final episode in 1995. Check out some more photos on Elle Decor.

I think the biggest selling point for me would be these doors – perfection.

Potentially unpopular opinion: I’ve never been a fan of the whole “she sheds” concept as the female counterpart to the “man cave”. It seems pretty unfair that men should get a great space for entertaining socializing with friends while women are resigned to be alone with their needlepoint or whatever. A much better alternative is this idea I saw today on House & Home. Here a backyard shed is renovated to serve as an entertaining space for outdoor dinner parties. I love how pretty this is while still being really functional and that it feels like a more sophisticated backyard tiki bar. See the full stories and more images here.

This is definitely the most beautiful website dedicated to bears. I highly recommend that everyone take some time to navigate around National Geographic’s “A Bear’s-Eye View of Yellowstone” page. Really well crafted imagery, video and navigation all throughout this site – plus a chance to see the world through the eyes of a bear!
