Potentially unpopular opinion: I’ve never been a fan of the whole “she sheds” concept as the female counterpart to the “man cave”. It seems pretty unfair that men should get a great space for entertaining socializing with friends while women are resigned to be alone with their needlepoint or whatever. A much better alternative is this idea I saw today on House & Home. Here a backyard shed is renovated to serve as an entertaining space for outdoor dinner parties. I love how pretty this is while still being really functional and that it feels like a more sophisticated backyard tiki bar. See the full stories and more images here.
