I think just about every girl (and plenty of guys) who came of age in the 90s will be familiar with the home pictured below. If you don’t recognize it right off the bat here’s a hint:

If you haven’t guessed, this is the San Francisco home of the Full House Tanner family and it’s currently for sale for $4,150,000. Once again that $4M+ price point is justtttt out of reach for me but it’s still fun to take a look. The home has clearly undergone some significant renovations since the show’s final episode in 1995. Potentially unpopular opinion: I’ve never been a fan of the whole “she sheds” concept as the female counterpart to the “man cave”. It seems pretty unfair that men should get a great space for entertaining socializing with friends while women are resigned to be alone with their needlepoint or whatever. A much better alternative is this idea I saw today on House & Home. Here a backyard shed is renovated to serve as an entertaining space for outdoor dinner parties. I love how pretty this is while still being really functional and that it feels like a more sophisticated backyard tiki bar. See the full stories and more images here.

This is definitely the most beautiful website dedicated to bears. I highly recommend that everyone take some time to navigate around National Geographic’s “A Bear’s-Eye View of Yellowstone” page. Really well crafted imagery, video and navigation all throughout this site – plus a chance to see the world through the eyes of a bear!

Loving this photo series of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera featured in the New York Times blog today. In 1951 photographer Marcel Sternberger travelled to Mexico where he befriended the iconic couple and ultimately photographed them in a series of really incredible and intimate portraits. This week Mashable published a series of photos of pre-fame Audrey Hepburn from a photo-shoot she did in London’s Kew Gardens in 1950. Even at 21, before her acting career had taken off, Hepburn conveys so much joy and humor through these images.

As I was looking at these I was reminded of some photographs of my grandmother that I saw for the first time last fall as I was helping my aunt to create a family photo album. I’m not sure exactly when and where the photos of my grandmother were taken but I would guess she was about the same age as Audrey here and the photos also seem to have been taken in a park. You can see more images from the photo shoot on Mashable. I’ve also included a couple of my grandmother’s photos below.

Just saw the trailer for the upcoming Van Gogh biography film, Loving Vincent. This movie will be the first of its kind in that it is entirely painted animation. According to their website, the film’s creators have employed a team of 30 painters to paint scenes in oil paint, using the same style and techniques as Van Gogh himself. The project is still in production but this trailer has got me really looking forward to its release. Check it out below.
