Last week, Homes and Gardens published a brief interview with installation artist, Rebecca Louise Law. Rebecca is a London-based artist who creates incredible installation exhibits made mostly from flowers. Since reading the article, I’ve spent some time searching around the internet for photos of her installations and I am in such awe of her talent and the beauty she creates through natural materials. Read the interview with Rebecca on www.hglivingbeautifully.com.

Took this photo yesterday while visiting Spectacle Island for the first time. Spectacle Island is one of Boston’s harbor islands and is a protected national park which offers two beaches and a handful of walking trails. It’s a little dreary in Boston today but yesterday’s weather offered a really beautiful view of the city.

Happy Friday! I think we can all agree that art and ice cream are objectively two of the best things that exist. This summer Refinery 29 and Magnum Ice Cream are collaborating on a project to bring them together – introducing  Ice Cream Art. Setting up shop at Magnum’s pop-up shop in Soho, visitors are invited to DIY their own ice cream bar in the style of an iconic NYC art movement. Hoping I’ll get the chance to stop by the shop in New York but I also have to say that this would be a great addition to Boston’s SoWa market…fingers crossed 🙂

I’ve never been a big fan of theme parks but this could be the exception. Earlier this month La Cité du Vin, a wine amusement park opened in Bordeaux, France. The park describes itself as “a unique cultural facility where wine comes to life through an immersive, sensorial approach, all set within an evocative architectural design.” The site includes both permanent and temporary exhibits, workshops, wine tours, and of course a few great restaurants. You can learn more aboutLa Cité du Vin on their website here. Might be time to plan a trip..
